MIKROS micronization system is especially suitable for dry micronization of raw materials such as clays, carbonates, feldspar, frits, quartz, glass, zirconium or limestones, among others. This ensures low energy consumption in high production for particles less than 10 microns. Specifically, MIKROS has a wide working range, being able to micronize the entire product from a minimum of 3μm to 200μm.
How does MIKROS micronization system work?
The operation of the micronization system is as follows:
- The product to be micronized, which resides in the hopper, is dosed to feed the MBC continuous ball mill.
- Once the MBC continuous ball mill is in operation and thanks to the friction and impact of the balls, which reside inside, with the product the micronization process is performed.
- The Dynamic Separator DS allows to separate the particles from the product that have reached the appropriate granulometry, which are sucked by the filter and, the rejection is sent back to the MBC continuous ball mill to continue the micronization.
MIKROS operates autonomously through an automated cycle that guarantees an absolute quality of the final technical characteristics of the product. One of the main virtues of this system is that it performs continuous control of the contributed product and the resulting product, balancing the feed and working ranges in the continuous process of the system.
What kind of products can micronize?
The MIKROS micronization system is recommended for the micronization of a wide variety of products. Among them, we highlight the clays, carbonates, feldspar, frits, quartz, glass, zirconium or limestones.

Actually, we have the TechLAB pilot plant where we have an installation of the MIKROS system so that customers can test this process, after mounting the solution in their installation.
In the following video we can observe the operation of the MBC continuous ball mill that is part of the MIKROS micronization system:
